Every professional driver needs a good team including a good co-pilot to navigate and a team of mechanics to work on the vehicle so the driver can concentrate on winning.
We know that enterprises often want to grow but can't afford to hire a full time team while they are still getting where they want to go. We also know that professional advice is important but during the growth phase of a business we need people to do, not just tell! The solution...virtual shared services.
First Australians Capital is offering a new business partnering service, BlackOps, to help enterprises get a skilled team to help them grow and achieve their mission for a fraction of the cost of finding, hiring and managing their own team.
Services are charged at a percentage of their turnover so as they grow the team grows too. Organisations will be set up on the best cloud based technologies available with on-call access to their team including:
Dedicated Relationship Manager - Someone to call when you need them;
Virtual CFO - to take care of all their Accounting as well as provide ongoing advice including cash flow forecasts and pricing strategies;
Virtual Marketing Manager - virtual marketing team to manage marketing platforms and content so enterprises can concentrate on sales and service;
Virtual Human Resources Manager - have the right systems and support to manage people well.
The Virtual team will also meet with enterprises each month to identify and report against agreed activities.
We have a quick set up system to ensure enterprises have a team in place within one week including setting up the tech stack.
Team members will be selected from our panel of Indigenous professionals in their local area (or as close as possible) so they will be contributing to growing other Indigenous businesses and/or indirectly providing employment opportunities for local Indigenous people.
You can also rest easy knowing that we are a not for profit enterprise so any profits from the services used will be reinvested into other Indigenous enterprises that have a social, cultural or environmental purpose. These funds will be invested as patient capital to help them start up and grow.
Driving Indigenous enterprises into the Black
Accelerating Indigenous Enterprise Success
Traditional business incubation services provide some support for free but this is limited and often means businesses can’t afford the expertise they need until they are much bigger and many don’t last until then. Traditional incubators usually require the business owner to go to them, and are rarely available in rural and remote areas.
Virtual support allows us to provide much needed human capital where and when businesses need it right across Australia. Our model is about business partnering with enterprises.
During the Start Up phase there is a fixed fee regardless of turnover.
Once businesses have a turnover of more than $250,000 and want to grow we provide high quality expertise, at the time when businesses need it most, for 15% of turnover, a fraction of the cost of employing internally. Our experience tells us that its at the $250,000 turnover mark that most businesses need expertise if they want to grow or sustain their business regardless of industry type.
When an enterprise signs up for the service the team is activated. The Relationship Manager project manages each element of the support and is the primary contact for the enterprise, providing 24/7 support. The team is chosen based on location of the enterprise and the industry type, which makes this the ideal model of support for regional and remote communities.
Indigenous providers from our panel are our first choice as team members however in the event that there isn’t an Indigenous provider in the area or with that industry experience we will work with the enterprise to ensure we find the right fit for them so they can stay on Country with the support they need.
As the enterprise grows the cost of services increases until it becomes more economically viable to hire internally.
